Frivolous hypocrites

Image
Old scars are always the best teacher, Though it's deep and horrible, Still, it opens a lens of a new perspective, Let broken things remain broken, afar from fixed. Callousness in treating people differently, When fallen into glass shards,  To handle pranks of life in solitude, With its setbacks and shocks. Finding happiness in others hardships, Exploiting and deceiving, Are not anew but their own birthright, The more you cling to it, the more it hurts, Looking down upon the fragile, Dressed up in many layers of artificiality, Getting enriched at the expense of others, Humanity lost its fragrance, Beneath the wrath of their poisonous smile.

Fog

Image
"When early morning painted,   In a canvas of soft, bleak fog, A blanket of white, embracing earth, Where Nature, stands still, Observing, awaiting the fiery ball, To repaint, unveil her varied hues, Swirling up the smoky mist, Unfolding a relentless, radiant, crimson glow to reflect within."

Transformation Within

Image
I think it happened in the month of June, something that transformed totally from what I was to what I am now. The days were cold due to heavy downpour for days, even though sunrays at times peeps out from the grey dark clouds during mid-morning hours. One day as usual on finding that there is time yet to start my online classes, I tried to get little more sleep, delving deep into the soft warm blanket. I don’t remember exactly I had slipped into sleep or not, suddenly I heard a very disturbing shrill of a small bird, continuously breaking the light rhythmic sound of the raindrops and the slight breeze coming through my open window. For some time, I lounge around in bed listening to the varied sounds of nature, chirping of crickets, croaking of frogs, cooing of pigeons, mooing of cows, drenched in rain.                After some time the shrilling sound got feeble, so I thought to check outside. I slowly opened my balcony door, but ...

Where losers of mind fail to tread

Image
The potentiality of our mind is immeasurable. Within it lies the seed of success and failure, happiness and sorrow, hope and despair. It’s a very powerful force which can enslave us or empower us. With the mindset of a visionary, Laungi Bhuiyan, an uneducated, poor farmer of Kothiwala Village in Lathua area of Gaya in Bihar has proved its infinite power.   “Once a goal is set deep in our mind, no force can deter it.”   Single-handedly, he dug a canal of 3 km length to carry water from the hills to the fields of his village for irrigation purposes.  Challenges were many, rough paths, unfavourable climatic conditions, but these did not prevent him from his vision of providing rainwater to his village. When asked about his mission, he said, “the major occupation of people in Gaya is farming and animal husbandry. I was much disturbed seeing the rainwater flowing towards rivers, during rainy seasons, from the nearby hills.” Then he thought to execute his plan ...

Frosty breeze ripples the hallow waters of  Mansarovar ,   Where  time  unbound, amid hypnotic nights, When stars drop down to  cleanse  in its mystic folds, Vagrant  clouds grazing snow-crowned peaks,                                 Amidst Mount  Kailash , shine aglow in radiant gold. Epitome of remote simplicity, the  abode  of the Ascetic Dweller, In yogic posture, smeared with  holy  ashes, His  form  clad in tiger skin, Matted locks  graced  with the heavenly Ganges and Crescent Moon, Garland of rudraksha and coiled serpent deck His blue neck, Formless, Limitless,  Adiyogi , the only Universal Soul. Bowing down before your Radiance,  Mahadev , Lift me from the abyss of darkness. I sink forever into fathomless agony, Breathe into me and tranquillize my spirit. To ...

Is it necessary to explore the outer space?

Image
Human beings had always possessed an innate gift to be curious, to know about himself, the planet he lives and the unfathomable heavenly bodies. He long gazed into the sky, to search and uncover the meaning of the universe hidden deep inside. His conscious mind gets activated to understand deeper about the dynamics of outer space. Humans intangible desire to explore the outer space had been passed on to the generations. Their initial interest began with recognizing patterns in the sky, the movement of the constellations used as a reference by early humans to track eclipses, to measure seasons as well as for navigation across the mighty seas and oceans. Early humans even recorded the motion of the planets. The main heavenly bodies, the Sun and the Moon are related to the recordings to track the time and the calendar on the Earth. Stonehenge is the best example of the knowledge of the sky during prehistoric times which is aligned with the rising and setting of the Sun. With ...

Sublime Grace of Forgiveness

Image
Of late, I thought to give a break from my overpowering feelings, Of contention and its clumsiness, Take a pause and stroll along with the realms of peace, Carved through mine personified attitude or constant practice. When tried to cradle the enticing charmer, Moments of self-realization, nudged me to clasp for air, A bitter reality dawned before me, The threshold of the world of peace, prohibited for unskilled artists. I got drenched in a pool of thoughts... Oh! Did I plunge myself into a chasm of sceptical notions? Can it ever be achieved? Am I the right to savour its docility? Do I have to endure the pain of being rejected? I began to wander aimlessly along its shore. All at once the truth dawned before me, To attain the unsurpassed, sublime presence of peace, I need to be trained with unsurmountable prosopopoeia of forgiveness, Eternal calmness rowing me to the brim of peace. When Fate itself take the realms of th...

Songs of Unbroken Silence

Image
A celestial hush of impersonal silence, Remains unscathed and intact, It's rhythm, It's cadence, It's stillness, It's serenity, Engulfing me in its healing power. Pounding rain shatters the silence, Leaves stir and tumble deep down, Wieldy ocean waves  quietening the shores, Amidst I remain silent with songs unsung. Like lyrics floating along with the wind, Songs penetrating the stills of night, Silence remains static, With flaming eyes that speak. In golden wings of silence, I carry my fancies and dreams, Words untold paths untrodden, Amidst I remain silent haloed in divine light. Silence in the weeping of the skies, Heavenly tears falling on the leaves, Rhythmic fall of the  morning dewdrops Uplifts the soul into a unified celestial communion. Silence in the fragrance of the flower, Silence in the distant ringing bells, Silence in the prayers unanswered, Only resonance is its impregnated aloofness. Silence  before a stormy outbu...

A solemn tribute to our Patriots

Image
Serene as the drizzling of the heavenly  raindrops, Powerful as the sunbeams embracing our earth,  Majestic as the dazzling of flowing waters, Unswerving bond to our nation be kindled, Through the bloodstream of each Indian. Appraising the patience and heroic deeds of thousands for  their divine sacrifices, Shredded their lives for us to breathe, The sweetened free air. Never should we forget the silentious words, Nor the unfallen tears of our Heroes safeguarding our boundaries, Humble we be, bowing before each drop of blood they wither, Against the evil-eyed attackers, Waiting for a spark to tear our nation apart, The rarest of all Gems encroached safely, Among sparkling oceans and mighty mountains. Boundless is the love Mother India spreads,  To patriots who bleeds for his nation  Uplift and consoles him, Like a mother who cuddles her children, Close to her heart when aches in pain, Sanctity of her affecti...

Modern Generation - A resurrection from old ways

Image
Slowly, he pulled down the shutters of his tea shop with a heavy heart and trembling hands. Helplessly, we watched the pain outlined over his, otherwise bustling eyes. It was the first Alumni celebrations ever conducted in our college. Thanks to WhatsApp, a social media platform which was fast binding the hearts and souls that has fallen apart. It was like ‘Beyond the Dreams’ coming true to Tony, who took the initiative to get us all connected. He felt,  positive responses were the Thank-you note to his strenuous hardships and dedication in uniting groups long lost and forgotten, but finally re-discovered. Eventually, the reunion day unfolded into boundless fantasies on 18th April 2019. Our college, a haven of greenery was in a festive mood. Situated beside the coastal lines of Shanghumugham beach, spread across 36 acres, lulled by the riverine breeze, its long stretch of silver sands, mould and uplift her beyond any leaps and bounds. A little ahead of the gate is the s...
